Although largely destroyed by the retreating Nazis it’s still possible to view the death cells, the gas chamber and the crematorium where corpses were incinerated. The Wieliczka Salt mine offers one of the most stunning views of the underground world you will ever see. The tour of the mine takes you over 100 meters below the surface and leads you through old shafts and corridors adjourned with marvels of salt – both natural and man-made.
